Well, it’s yet again another rainy day. Regardless of the rain, it didn’t stop a friend and me from getting out to the Patuxent Research Refuge to try to find some birds. Dodging rain cells, we hoped to find some bright red birds. Alas, even though we had a couple of quick glimpses of two of them, the camera was in the car safe and dry.
Hopefully I’m not boring you with all of these bird posts this week. Seems I’m either birding or riding in this hot, wet and humid weather. Although tomorrow Hubby and I are heading up to Gettysburg for the first day of their 150th Reenactment celebration of the Battle of Gettysburg. Can’t wait to share some of my experiences from this wonderful living history event.
In the meantime, here are some wet feathers for you to enjoy. Have a wonderful July 4th celebration, even if you’re not an American. Celebrate your independence!

Beautiful as always… that Indigo is gorgeous and poor old mum Orchard Oriole, all wet and dishevelled but still delivering the goods! 🙂
