I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.

You are truly too kind Will. And as an exemplary artist as you are, this comment really means so much to me . Thank you!
Did you smell them? Do they smell pretty as the you way you take pretty pictures?
Actually yes ! I used to grow the new species of roses but they’ve bred the smell out of them. The peonies are especially lovely.
Delicious…

Thanks Bente. Appreciate your compliment.
Really funny saying. Thanks for giving me my daily laugh. Beautiful photos.

You do!!!! And I enjoy every one of them…
Great quote, made me chuckle into my morning coffee! 🙂 Lovely flower shots… love the third one with that lovely green background!
That is awesome ! I can totally see you doing that with your coffee. Somehow the name of that flower didn’t make it through. it’s called “Love in a Mist” and is an heirloom.
“Love in a Mist”… how wonderful, I love that! 🙂
😀 Oh that quote is simply priceless!!! And what a glorious vision you’ve put out for us today Emily. Hugs, Sharon

Funny quote from such a stoic lady too. Your flower studies are beautiful. It is great time of year to get out in the garden for some photo fun.
Yes it is ! I’d photograph my garden every day, but somehow I think people may get bored. 🙂
Lovely Captures! I found a beautiful rose in our backyard yesterday and it smelled amazing too.
