I will not play tug o’ war. I’d rather play hug o’ war.
Where everyone hugs instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins,
and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.Β
Shel Silverstein
Love is abound at the bird rookery at Gatorland in Orlando, Florida.

Thanks for the memory of Gatorland. I was raised in nearby Kissimmee (before Disney arrived) and frequented the place as a child.
You were so fortunate to spend a lot of time at Gatorland. Even though it seems small, it is large in their animal displays.
The colors in the first one are incredible! The second one is one of those moments I live to capture, but seldom do, lucky you!
I was really lucky, and they were so very close to the boardwalk at Gatorland. It should be one of your next “want to go” places. Thanks Jerry!
I agree with you. Lovely poem and pics,Emily,
Thank you so much Sylvia ! Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend.
I wouldn’t call it relaxing, Emily, with three small children running around. π
Oh..there is that…oops. I can’t even imagine. π
blowing kisses your way, Ms. Bella.
Kisses back ! π
The photos are awesome and the poem made me laugh. Love Silverstein
It’s wonderful to hear from you Pat, and hope all is well with you. Thanks for your kind comment.
I have not been to Gator Land in awhile! You should send them your link! They would love it.
Brilliant; and you captured the colours astoundingly!
I could only wish ! They have so many photographers that go through there, I’m sure they have a mountain of glorious photos far better than mine. But thank you though for the vote of confidence. π
Thank you for the amazing photos and description.
It is my pleasure John ! Great to see you, and hope to see you back soon. Bella
Fascinating way of kissing… ‘lol’
Excellent captured… π
The words of Shel Silverstein are great… π
Guess that is what you have to do when you don’t have lips like Mick Jagger ! π
Your photos shows the deep affection and love that our fellow world travelers have for each other. We could learn from them…
Love is abound everywhere this spring. Isn’t it a wonderful and grand thing?
Terrific pics Emily! Love the egrets in breeding color!
That was so fascinating for me. What a strange way to mate. But I guess when you don’t have lips, its the second best thing.
I love the first photo!! ~Sherry~
Thank you so very much Sherry ! You should have seen this pair earlier. I believe the girl is the red one, well she would go and bite his butt just for the fun of it. He’d growl a little, but she’d go and to it again. LOL ! π
HaHa…I think we women do get a little annoyed with our men!
Talk about the “WOW” factor! These photos have it! π π
Thank you so much ! It’s helps to have great subjects. π
Wonderful shots!!! Lovely poem!!!
Thank you so much Rexlin ! Hope you’re doing well.
Love these photos, especially the first one! I just spotted two birds smooching outside my window.. Pigeons, not nearly as photogenic as these! π
LOL ! But pigeons are cute in their own right too ! Hope you were able to capture then canoodling. π
Those looks like dangerous kisses!

Your bird photos are so beautiful, I love the colours in that first one.
