Yep, it sure is an f/4. The 400mm has the 2.8 option which I’ve rented and think is awesome as well.
A friend of mine is loaning me a Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS II vs Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS for about 4-days. I am very excited and looking forward to hopefully adding some great bird shots to my catalog.
Now you have me really jealous ! Although I wouldn’t be able to handhold either of those lenses. I do all right with the 500mm. Can’t wait to see what you’re able to capture. Going any where special to capture them?
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting Debby. It’s my goal this year to really hone in and simplify my compositions. Thanks again and hope to see you back soon.
Very nice!!
Thank you so much ! I was surprised the fantastic bokeh I got with the 500mm L.
Wow!!! I would have never thought it was shot with a 500mm L. What is it an F4?

Thanks Christy ! And wonderful to get to know you by name. Hope I remember it! If not, just slap me across the head to remind me. 🙂
Wow, that sounds violent. But okay!
Great capture!
Thank you so much Tricia. So happy you enjoyed this.
Did you take that drift wood home with you?
I didn’t even think of it ! I did have the truck with me. But there was something about leaving nature the way I found it.
Very interesting in an understated way!
So I’m not too much of a crazy person then. It was a really intriquing view.
From the sea to you… 😉
Very well captured… 🙂
Awww Thank you Drake !
I imagine many a dog will pick up that stick and have fun!
It was a looonngg stick. My guess is that he’d probably hit his head with it. :-0
Neat composition!
Thanks Madhu. Glad you liked this one.
They look like an old married couple 🙂
That is funny Maya. Indeed, they seemed intertwined for eternity.
Love, love your capture:)
Thanks Renee ! Got to admit, I like it too. I’d put it on a wall. Have a great evening.
Looking good Emily.
Thanks Phil !
