This is crazy ! Hurricane Sandy coming from the south, Cold front from the west and what is that I see in the northeast?? And they’re all heading to my house. Will keep you posted as the weekend begins to fall apart. We already received a call from the electric company telling us to prepare for an outage. Oh boy….

We are even watching the storm unfold from Canada!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and keeping an eye on us. We certainly will need all the good luck and fortune for the next few days.
Good thoughts for a safe zone around you and yours! 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much Maggie. I’m enjoying the calm before the storm.
I probably shouldn’t have pressed the like button. Hoping for the best outcome for you, Bella. Stay safe. 🙂
Sometimes don’t you wish there was an unlike button? Thank you so much for your caring words. The boats are up on their lifts, all is tied down. Let’s hope for the best!
Holding thumbs for you, Bella. xx
Hold on tight! Hope you get through this ok
You are so kind to care and thank you! We are hoping for the best but won’t know for certain of the direct hit until tomorrow, but it looks like it’ll happen.
i heard on the news it had downgraded to a tropical storm from a hurricane, but im guessing that isnt much compensation when you are ducking between the cars blowing up the street 😦
LOL ! Very funny. Isabel was quite the tropical storm and did amazing damage picking up boats and dropping them on the highway. This will be interesting to say the least.
Wishing you the best! I’m hoping (for all those potentially affected) this storm does not turn out to be the huge hype the media is making it out to be now.
Power outages are not a good thing at all. 😦 We have been there.
Hi Phil ! Yep, the weather people have been far more dramatic since Katrina, but the meteorologists do say this is the formula for the perfect storm. Looks like the Chesapeake Bay (Annapolis) is geared for a direct hit. We have a huge generator, but making sure we have enough fuel for it has been a challenge. The gas company took the weekend off !!
I’ll be pulling for you Emily. It sucks to have to deal with that, especially this late in the year.
Thank you so much Mike ! Honestly, I prefer water to snow. Snowmaggeddon, Frankenstorm..such names! It looks like the water will be pulled out of the bay instead of being pushed into it as Isabel had done, so hopefully not too much storm surge.
Reblogged this on chaotiqual.
I hope you’re not in the Delmarva area also, if so may you stay safe and dry.
Hope it isn’t as bad as expected. Take care.
I hope so as well Madhu, but this looks like the real deal!
Take care, american friends…
Thank you so much Drake ! I’ll try to post storm updates with my iphone as I know the cable service will go out quickly.
Hope you ok…It was close to Jamaica earlier I think!!
Thank you so much Lisa. Yes, I believe it was…said to become a hurricane again. Let’s hope it won’t.
Stay Safe – will be thinking about you and sending good thoughts that it just goes away!
Thank you so much Renee, we need all the positive good thoughts that we can get!
With the right preparations you’ll be fine. Eddie
I hope so Eddie, even as a tropical storm, Sandy can wreak havoc. Thanks for your kind words.
Take care, sending good thoughts your way. Perhaps you’ll have a chance for some great photos??? Stay safe 🙂
Hi Stephanie ! Well, you would think, but between heavy winds and strong winds, its best to stay inside. Perhaps before or after than. Thank you for sending best wishes. Bella
Hi Emily
Missed all this on the TV but will keep a look out now. Take care, stay safe.
Love Corinne
BE SAFE! I know my family is preparing as well (for the horses, too)… We had quite some winds and rain with Ms. Sandy down here (LOVE those winds, but sheeesh) — but hopefully she’ll calm down once she hits land, like they usually do. So here’s to her simmering down a bit!!
We should really worry about your mom and her ponies, they’re scheduled for a direct hit. Hope all will be okay there.
