The Perfect Storm

This is crazy ! Hurricane Sandy coming from the south, Cold front from the west and what is that I see in the northeast?? And they’re all heading to my house. Will keep you posted as the weekend begins to fall apart. We already received a call from the electric company telling us to prepare for an outage. Oh boy….

  1. Wishing you the best! I’m hoping (for all those potentially affected) this storm does not turn out to be the huge hype the media is making it out to be now.
Power outages are not a good thing at all. 😦 We have been there.

    • Hi Phil ! Yep, the weather people have been far more dramatic since Katrina, but the meteorologists do say this is the formula for the perfect storm. Looks like the Chesapeake Bay (Annapolis) is geared for a direct hit. We have a huge generator, but making sure we have enough fuel for it has been a challenge. The gas company took the weekend off !!

    • Thank you so much Mike ! Honestly, I prefer water to snow. Snowmaggeddon, Frankenstorm..such names! It looks like the water will be pulled out of the bay instead of being pushed into it as Isabel had done, so hopefully not too much storm surge.

  2. BE SAFE! I know my family is preparing as well (for the horses, too)… We had quite some winds and rain with Ms. Sandy down here (LOVE those winds, but sheeesh) — but hopefully she’ll calm down once she hits land, like they usually do. So here’s to her simmering down a bit!!
