Natural Seawall – Mount Desert Island, Maine
Life is constant motion. Whether it be man, beast or of the natural world, life depends on motion. The giving and taking, the coming and going, the growing and the dying, life is continuous.
Natural Seawall – Mount Desert Island, Maine
It is our choice whether we want to blur the motion and go as fast as possible to maximize every moment.

But perhaps the best way to truly appreciate life and the joys it provides is to freeze frame precious moments so that they can be savored.

Yeah – “life is constant motion – whether it be man, beast or of the natural world, life depends on motion – the giving and taking, the coming and going, the growing and the dying, life is continuous” >>> totally agree, well written… π

Beautiful long exposed photos! Nice works!
Thank you so much Alex!
You are so welcome!
Really beautiful images + words…. Loved them! β₯
Thank you Fey!
So beautiful photos, and post. This time it is not the horses that are my favorites, but the sea photos. I have seen so many beaches and waves, but these are so good. Something special.
Hi Bente ! Thank you so much ! It means a lot to me that you enjoyed the rock beach photos. Have a lovely evening.
Loving your photos:)
Thank you!! Have a happy week!
The glistening rocks are awesome…We know about fog. I saw some fog roll in SF yesterday.
Maggie says woof woof to the beautiful horses dancing & prancing! π
Maggie, you would have so much fun chasing the brown horse – Javalin around. He loves to play!
She’d run by his side tongue hanging out π
I love the first photo! The pebbles are beautifully sharp – whenever I try anything like that the water is blurred and so is all the rest! π¦
I absolutely used a tripod for those. It is a must!
I’m loving the water photographs! Did you use a neutral density filter? I’ve been looking into investing in one but have no idea where to begin! Any suggestions?
Hi Kate,
On this photo, I did not use a ND filter. However, I do have a Singh Ray 3-stop rectangular ND filter that I use for high contrast situations, I just place it flat in front of my lens, and slide it to where I want it. I got this recommendation from a book “How to Photograph Maine & Acadia National Park” It was great advice. They’re pricey but worth it.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing the info! I’ll definitely give you a shout out with this advice when I ever get around to trying my hand at this!
Look forward to it! You’re a great photographer.
