Birds

Snow Buntings

There’s been some charming and unexpected visitors at North Point State Park in Edgemere, Maryland. Fondly known as “Snowflakes” these cold weather birds have come down from their breeding grounds in the high arctic region of North America and winter in Canada and parts of northern North America.

There have four of them calmly eating the grass seeds along the rocky pier of the park. Getting low to the ground, I entered in to the world and enjoyed their peaceful spirits. Eventually, they came so close I felt that I could reach out to touch them.

Gentle creatures they are and blessed was I to be graced with their presence.
