I went out this morning in hopes to see droves of birds hunkering down for the storm. We heard lots of them in the bush and many flying above leaving the Delmarva coast line for somewhere else.
Perhaps I should take a hint ! The cold front is starting to move in and I can feel the chill in the air. The wind is picking up a bit but we still have a day before knowing if we’ll have a direct hit or not.

The birds know. It’s uncanny, isn’t it? I wonder if they’re on their way down here. Hope the storm passes you by. ๐
It’s like the animals in the Tsumani. They all ran to high ground about 1/2 hour before it hit. Got to appreciate those animal instincts. So long as we don’t have a storm surge, we should be ok. Looks promising (1-3 feet) instead of the 6+ when Isabel hit.
Ducks may be the only birds that might enjoy the wet weather. I didn’t even bother to head out today looking for alligators. They are smart enough to stay hunkered down in a nice mud wallow somewhere. ๐
You would think that a tropical storm would even bit a bit much for the ducks. I’d imagine you have a huge closet full of wonderful alligator pics, so stay warm and dry I’d say.
Hope it passes you by. Those ducks do know a thing or two. xx
Probably why there were only two of the Corinne ! ๐
