Looking at the weather report for the upcoming weekend, it appears that the perfect storm is out there brewing in the Atlantic. Reports say that “Frankenstorm” is heading to the Northeast coast of the U.S.. With the combination of three storms; Hurricane Sandy, an early winter storm from the west, and a cold front from the north.
It sure makes me truly appreciate the wonderful autumn we’ve had this year and now the leaves are starting to drop from the trees. I’m enjoying the calm before the storm. Now it’s time to batten down the hatches!

Absolutely beautiful! I love the shadows! Hope you stay safe up there Bella!
Thank you Michael..so funny, I never noticed the tree shadows until you mentioned them. WOW..couldn’t see the trees from the forest.
Haha! 🙂
Wonderful colors of the trees and great captured the shades… 🙂
Thank you so much Drake ! I was just telling Michael that when I took that shot, and even now, I didn’t see those shadows. Crazy….
Great capture. I love the autumn colours!
Did you say storm??? All I hear is photo opp… 😀 Stay safe!
LOL ! I’m going to give it a whirl Ian.
Super trio! I love the little pile of orange leaves under each tree. Guess they are dropping quite a bit now.
Hope you don’t get hammered by Sandy.
It’s true..the leaves are falling now. Autumn went by too quickly. I’m glad I enjoyed it as much as I could the past few weeks. Hope Sandy doesn’t get you too wet either.
A beautiful shot…make the most of it because if the storms come they will strip the trees of these beautiful colours…stay safe!
I’m trying my best to enjoy the weather before the storm. This morning was just lovely ! Thank you for your kind words.
