This morning I’m heading on a short road trip to the Shenandoah National Forest. Enjoying the fall colors today and wildlife abound at dusk. Tomorrow I’ll be hiking Old Rag Mountain, then a leisure return home at the end of the week.
The mountains are fabulous as I’ll be totally unplugged, no internet, no cell phone service. In fact, I have to stand in one spot in the parking lot of Big Meadows Lodge to get a cell signal to phone home. One time I had to dodge a doe that was running away from a buck.
