The Tri-colored herons at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Rookery are filled with character. It was early June and the first round of nestlings were getting larger and nearly ready to leave the nest.
Like Curly, Moe and Larry of the Three Stooges, they sat squawking and squabbling. Better than reality TV.
Along the boardwalk some herons were so close you could practically reach out and touch them. These herons, special in their own right are the stars in the show at the Wading Bird rookery.
