Did You See the Moon?

moon25feb13-5238-Edit

“The moon is a loyal companion.

It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast,

knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do.

Every day it’s a different version of itself.

Sometimes weak and wan,

sometimes strong and full of light.

The moon understands what it means to be human.

Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

  1. Wonderful capture of the moon. Last night’s moon was the biggest I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I was in the car when it was rising. I tried to stop to take some photos, but didn’t have much luck before it went behind some clouds. But it was huge.

    • Thank you so very much Calee ! I just added the metadata for the image as one of my readers told me he likes to see it. Got to that a 500mm L and a Gitzo tripod for this one. Also, the detail extractor in Nik Efex Color (which I just got) really made the details pop.

  2. OMG, you have such good camera to see the many shades of the moon. Just Beautiful. By the light of the silvery moon, I want to croon…. la la la
