All this winter drab is making me crave color. Spring color, bright color, color that is bold, color that is muted. Any color, all color.
Let’s all think of spring with azaleas blooming, a true hallmark of the American south, dotting the landscape and tucked with the trees. These beauties decorate the landscape.
Let’s all hope for a light spring shower to sprinkle the garden with the essence of life. Cherry blossoms promising sweet fruit during the summer.
With daffodils and tulips sharing their delicate nature and light scents.
Lady Jane’s with their candy stripes looking good enough to eat.
These beauties brighten our day as the sun shines high above to warm the earth.
And our path through life guided by the sweet smell of the lilacs. Spring is a time for renewal, a time to refreshen the spirit after a cold and dreary winter.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
~William Wordsworth, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” 1804

Thanks, I needed some color! The fog is so thick here that I can barely see across the parking lot, the entire world is grey today.
Oh I love fog too ! Hope you went out on an adventure today and captured some wonderful and mysterious shots.
Thank you for the color, these are so beautiful!
It is my pleasure to share some spring with you. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon.
Beautiful photos and a poem from one of the master of poetry. Thank you.
You are so kind John and it’s great to see you here. Thank you so much for your comment.
Wonderful colour splash! 🙂 Really nice Emily!!
It was another dreary, rainy, wintery day today. So happy to share some bright spring with you Calee.
Beautiful colors, very well captured… 🙂
A bouquet of beautiful spring flowers for you Drake. 🙂
Thanks, my sweet girl… 😉
Now, that’s some color I can wrap my eyes around. Nice text, and not too shabby to lift a bit of prose from WW.
So happy that you enjoyed this post Tom. Means a lot from a great writer like yourself.
Terrific explosion of color Emily. That first one especially pops from the background.
Thanks Phil ! And imagine that I took these photos before I really understood what I’m doing. I’m looking forward to this spring to capture it once more.
thank you for the colour, here it’s all grey in grey since weeks!! beautiful photos!
Oh Evelyn, I feel for you. Grey for weeks? I’d be beside myself. I may even consider painting my room bright blue. Hope this warmed up your day.

Beautiful contrast to the grey day outside my window with a light snow falling.
That’s wonderful to hear Lynne ! I hope you were able to go out and capture some snow photos. You’re a master a capturing beautiful landscapes.
That is so kind and yes, I did, I made a special trip out but haven’t yet looked at them.
Beautiful Captures:) So ready for color and warmth! Happy Monday:)
Me too Renee ! Wet and cold today here. Spring can’t come fast enough. Have a great evening!
These are great. I enjoy this amount of closeness so I can see the form of the flower but have it fill the area. They are very joyful.
Thank you so much Pat. I’m learning that to truly appreciate a flower, you have to get close. Some of them aren’t usually seen in every day gardens also. Have a warm day.
Yes that is a vibrant dose for the colour starved 🙂
Can’t figure out what the flower in the first shot is, would you know?
Oh yes..that is a Pink Dogwood tree. It’s right outside our bedroom window and blooms during our wedding anniversary. The birds love it. Thanks for your kind comment Madhu.
Pawesome photos! Really beautiful! =^.^=
Purrrr. Thank you Bailey.
Explosion of colours! Stunning 🙂
I hope you don’t mind if I reblog your link on my reblog page?
You are so sweet to want to share this with your readers. Please do!
Spring is almost here! And I love the poem – beautiful connection.
You’ve inspired me to find something meaningful to go with my posts. Try to live life to its fullest and in depth understanding. Better than just floating along light like a butterfly. 🙂
But you are such a beautiful butterfly….
Fabulous collection of flowers!!!
Thank you so much Rexlin, and appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment. 🙂
Love the first dogwood and last lilac. I miss dogwood in England (well and Vietnam now for that matter!) – they have non ornamental cornus everywhere but not the large flowered small treed dogwood.
