When starting Hoofbeats & Footprints on WordPress, something happened that I never expected to happen. Wonderful, kind and thoughtful fellow bloggers quickly became friends and penpals. I’ve had the opportunity to actually meet a couple of great bloggers in person and enjoyed seeing them and the world they live in. Readers throughout the world are now following me, and with the advent of technology, we are now truly a global community.

Last week, many of you were so kind to take the time out of your busy lives to check in and see if I was all right during Hurricane Sandy.With great fortune, the worst of the storm went further north. But the support, well wishes and caring truly made me feel special. New friends from the U.S., Europe, and Asia wrote with such kindness that I would like to thank each and everyone for your uplifting words.

But now I must admit to three very kind and generous bloggers who were noble enough to nominate me for several awards. I apologize for my delay in fully acknowledging these nominations, but here you go ! Better late than never!

Joanne is a very creative person and although her wordpress blog has been rather silent since the summer, she still sells wonderful seascape home decorations which can be viewed when clicking the link above.
